I made these once years ago for an eBay auction, and brought them back by customer request because "I've had numerous fish on it, but have retired it now because I don’t want to lose it!" You don't have to retire your favorite BFDs ... I'll make more :)
Copper insert, copper hologram glitter, Mother of Pearl flakes (which I painstakingly apply with tweezers) for contrast and texture, and lovely MOP slab eyes.

The Spitfires are no ordinary bullet that goes spinning through the water! Our 7″ bullets are keel-weighted and designed so they SWIM, they don’t SPIN! Our unique oval skirt saddles present a more lifelike silhouette. The double-poured, multi-angled head design produces a nice, tight wobble at speed, vibrating the skirts as well.
Spitfires are used anywhere but the corners, and they love swimming shotgun. We recommend running them on a lighter leader (60lb -130lb) to increase their action.
Irresistible when natural baits are running 6 to 8 inches.
Heads alone weigh 2.5 ounces.
